First Nation Leadership in Ontario recognizes jurisdiction over the education of our learners, regardless of residency.  This means that no matter where our learners reside we strive to maintain optimum influence to actively support our students within that system.

The ECU continues to build relationships with the Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs and the Ministry of Education to ensure the educational needs of First Nations are addressed in the provincial education system.

The ECU also engages regularly with the Ontario College of Teachers, the First Nation, Métis and Inuit School Board Trustees Council, the First Nation, Métis and Inuit Education Association of Ontario and People for Education as well as other organizations related to K-12 education in Ontario.
