DESCRIPTION:The Chiefs of Ontario Environment Department will be hosting a two-day engagement session on March 3-4, 2021. The focus of the 2-day fulsome engagement sessions includes creation of First Nations-led policies and solutions related to access to safe, clean and reliable drinking water.\nDates:\nWednesday, March 3, 2021 – Day One\n\n\nDay one is dedicated to repeal and replacement of the Safe Drinking Water for First Nations Act legislation.\n\n\nThursday, March 4, 2021 – Day Two\n\n\nDay two is dedicated to the continued cooperation in the development of a long-term strategy for First Nations Water and Wastewater.\n\n\nWho should attend:\nChiefs, water treatment plant operators, infrastructure technicians, public works managers, Tribal Councils and PTOs; with limit of two reps per community.\nLocation: Virtually via Zoom.
