In First Nations, we know this violence is rooted in colonial systems and inequality. “Ontario First Nations have been represented at “Ontario First Nations have been represented at the joint lands table that's been established between CIRNAC and the AFN and have been really active in submitting feedback into the engagements report on reforms of both ATR and specific claims. We are very close, weeks close, to finalize announcements around some really important short immediate changes that we can make to the ATR policy and that is based on the engagements reports and feedback that Ontario First Nations and others have raised.
