Leadership Committee on Languages Communications Strategy

The Chiefs of Ontario (COO) Leadership Committee on Languages (LCOL) promotes the unity and advancement of First Nations in Ontario to implement inherent language rights for learners today, the next seven generations, and beyond.
Immersion and bilingual language programming rooted in First Nations culture, traditions, and values are believed invaluable to stabilizing First Nation languages. Our goal is to provide guidance, support, and advocacy for First Nations communities to reclaim, revitalize, and strengthen language for the well-being of individuals and communities.
