The Chiefs of Ontario Education sector is pleased to invite you to an upcoming First Nation Adult Education and PSE Costing Model Engagement session taking place March 19, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport, 33 Carlson Court, Toronto.

The Federal Budget 2021 announced $350 million over 5 years to expand access to adult education by supporting First Nations people on reserve who wish to complete their high school/secondary education and/or up-grading.  The goal of the session is to provide information on the adult education funding available through Indigenous Service Canada (ISC), highlighting current programs, and to gather input from participants about other areas of Adult Education programming needed in communities to advocate for the continuation and expansion of this funding.  COO will also demonstrate the PSE Costing Model, a tool developed to support advocacy efforts to increase funding for the Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP).

Who should attend? First Nation Education and Post Secondary Directors/Managers, education and adult education practitioners

Two (2) attendees employed or designated by a First Nation or First Nation representative entity will be reimbursed for their travel and hotel accommodations for up to three (3) nights to attend the event upon submission of a travel claim, after the event.
